If there was a reading assignment, what did you learn from the reading? Waht did you not understand? What prior knowledge did you bring to the reading material?

Today, Ms Sarles gave us a reading assignment about different types of cancers that people become diagnosed with all around the world and what I learned was that there are many different cancer treatments to go through so people who are diagnosed can deal with there illness a lot easier. What I did not understand was how some treatments that people should take, it is not legal in some states, like the use of medical marijuana. Prior knowledge that I brought to this assignment was that I knew there were a lot of different ways to treat cancer, I just couldnt believe how many different types of ways there were.
